The Rev. J. Curtis Goforth, Pastor
Curtis is originally from Statesville, NC and he is a graduate of Berea College (B.A. 2000 in Philosophy and Religion, double minor in Archaeology and Hebrew) and Duke University Divinity School (M.Div. 2004). He also attended Harvard University (1998, 1999) and The University of Essex (Colchester, England 2004, 2005). Curtis has previously served the Manningtree-Harwich Circuit in the British Methodist Church (2004-2005) and Badin and Richfield United Methodist Churches (2005-2010). He is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. He also currently pastors Mount Tabor UMC in Salisbury. He is married and has two young daughters. Sybil Perrell, Parish Nurse
Sybil is a long-time member of the church and resident of Woodleaf. In addition to being our parish nurse, she also serves as our choir director. As our parish nurse, Sybil coordinates several health events throughout the year and makes home visits for our sick and elderly.
